Easy Apple Crumble


ingredients
  • 4 granny smith apples
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp trahana or rolled oats
for the crumble and the topping
  • 150gr all purpose flour
  • 100gr brown sugar
  • 100gr soft salted butter
  • 1 Tbsp trahana or rolles oats
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 250ml heavy cream 
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar

   
instructions

Peel, core and cut apples in thin slices. In a bowl toss apples with sugar, cinnamon and trahana or oats.


Butter a 23-25cm round baking dish and add the apples. Flatten down with your hand. In a bowl add flour, sugar, soft butter and knead with your fingertips until combined.
Cover the apples with the crumble. If you like, sprinkle with
trahana or oats and sugar.
Preheat oven to 180C and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden.



Beat heavy cream with a hand mixer. When it starts to thicken add powdered sugar and continue beating for a few more seconds to have a fluffy whipped cream.
Serve apple crumble warm with 1-2 Tbsp whipped cream on top.
