ingredients for soup
- 1 whole chicken,1,5 kilos
- 2 carrots, whole
- 1 onion, whole
- 1 celery root, cut in 4 pieces
- water to cover
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Put the chicken, carrots, onion, celery root, olive oil, salt, pepper in a large soup pot and cover with cold water.
Heat and simmer covered until the chicken meat falls off the bones.
When it's ready, take the chicken out of the pot to cool and shred it with your fingers.
Discard the onion.
Mash the carrots and celery root into the broth and add the shredded chicken. Or you can use the chicken in a salad, pizza or pies.
ingredients for baked garlic and brie
- 4 whole garlic
- 8 Tbsp olive oil
- fresh thyme
- 200gr brie
- 1 baguette
Peel away the thick outer part of skin from the garlic heads.
Using a knife, slice off about 1/2cm from the top.
Place the garlic heads in the middle of 4 foil pieces, add 2 Tbsp olive oil, thyme, salt and pepper. Cover with the foil and bake at 200C for about 1 hour.
Serve the garlic with brie on toasted baguette slices .
