- 500gr spaghetti
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 10 slices bacon chopped
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1 stalk celery chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 dried chilly pepper chopped
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
- 1 1/2 cup red wine
- 3 Tbsp balsamic cream
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 400gr canned tomatoes crushed
Heat olive oil over medium to high heat, add bacon, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, chilly pepper and cook for a few minutes until vegetables are soft and bacon is a little crispy.
Add sugar and rosemary.
Stir and add red wine, balsamic cream, tomato paste and canned tomatoes. Simmer over medium to low heat for approximately 45 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Boil pasta according to package directions, drain and keep one cup of boiling water in case you need it for the sauce.
Pour pasta in the sauce, stir and serve!
