Penne in White Sauce

  • 500gr whole wheat penne
  • 3 Tbs whole wheat flour
  • 3 Tbs olive oil
  • 2 cups fresh milk low fat
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 200gr cream cheese
  • 2 tsp mustard with honey
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 200gr pecorino cheese, grated


Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and keep aside.
In the same pot, add olive oil, flour, milk, salt and pepper and whisk over medium heat until it becomes thick.
Add the cream cheese, mustard, worcestershire sauce and garlic. Whisk until the cream cheese melts. Remove the pot from the heat.
Add pasta and half the amount of pecorino cheese. Mix well. At this point pasta is ready.
If you like, put pasta in a pan, sprinkle with the rest of grated  pecorino and place under broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is golden.
Serve immediately!
