Cookies with Parmesan and Poppy Seeds

  • 150gr butter, melted
  • 150gr parmesan cheese, grated
  • 200gr all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp poppy seeds


Beat butter for 1-2 minutes.
Add parmesan, flour, baking powder, pepper and smoked paprika.
Continue to beat until it looks like breadcrumbs.
Add poppy seeds and knead gently with your hands until it becomes a soft dough.
Roll it into a cylinder about 4cm in diameter and wrap it in plastic wrap.
Put the roll in the fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 170C.
Cut 5-7cm slices and arrange them in the pan lined with parchment paper. 
Bake for 13-15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let them cool.
If you want to give cookies as a present to your friends, an easy and funny way to do it, is to put some cookies in a small disposable pan. Draw something on the lid and ready!
