Apple Cream Pie

  • 13-15 phyllo dough pastry sheets
  • 200gr butter
  • 360gr fresh milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 400gr sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4-6 apples
  • cinnamon
  • powdered sugar


Preheat oven to 180C.
Butter a 28x22 glass pan and cut remaining butter into small pieces.
Fold each pastry sheet like a fan and place them in the pan. Cover with butter pieces.

Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

In a bowl beat sugar with eggs. Stir in milk, cinnamon and vanilla extract.

Cut apples in half, remove the core and slice them. Put the apple slices in a bowl filled with water and juice of 1 lemon to prevent them from browning. 

Pour the milk-egg mixture over the cooked pastry sheets and  arrange the apple slices in between.

Bake for 20-30 minutes.


Sprinkle cinnamon and powdered sugar and serve!
