Green Salad with Strawberries, Xinomyzithra and Pasteli

  • 200gr fresh green leaves (baby spinach, arugula, kale, beet)
  • 100gr greek xinomyzithra crumbled (or goat cheese)
  • 10-15 strawberries
  • 1/2 red onion in slices
  • 2-3 Tbsp greek pasteli crumbled (sesame seed candy)
  • 5-6 fresh spearmint leaves
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/2 tsp balsamic cream
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp salt


In a small glass jar add olive oil, orange juice, orange zest, balsamic cream, honey and salt. Cover with lid and shake until combined.

Divide greens in two plates. Cut strawberries in slices and arrange on top of the leaves. Add crumbled xinomyzithra or goat cheese, crumbled pasteli or other nuts, spearmint and onion slices.

Drizzle with the dressing, toss to coat and serve.
